The perfect solution for your mid-range applications, our small controllers offer the features and flexibility you need without the overhead of larger systems. Choose from standard and safety-certified controllers in chassis-based, packaged and modular designs. Typical applications include complex machine control, batch processing and building automation.
SLC 500 Control System
Bulletin 1747 SLC™ 500 PLC is a chassis-based,
modular family of controllers and I/O. With multiple processor choices,
numerous power supply options and extensive I/O capacity, the SLC 500 family
provides a powerful solution for mid-range stand-alone or distributed
industrial control. As one of the first full-featured small controllers on
the market, it remains the gold standard in logic controllers more than a
decade after its introduction.
Features
Up to 64 K words of configurable data and program memory
Control up to 4096 input and 4096 output signals
Configure up to three local chassis, with 30 local I/O or
communication modules maximum
Monitor and control remotely located I/O across ControlNet",
DeviceNet", and Universal Remote I/O links (requires I/O scanner
module)
Built-in ports for EtherNet/IP", DH+, DH-485, or RS-232
communication
Available communication modules provide additional communication
options
Specialty modules support simple motion control applications
Continued support and on-going engineering investment for a large
installed base
Our SmartGuard™ 600 family provides safety for
applications that require complex logic and more advanced safety
functionality. With the SmartGuard 600 controller as a safety master on
DeviceNet™, you can use Guard I/O™ modules to expand the number of
safety devices the SmartGuard 600 can control. With your choice of
EtherNet/IP™ or DeviceNet, other devices such as standard PLCs and HMIs
can read data from the SmartGuard 600 safety controller for system-level
interlocking, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Features
Includes small, cost-effective intelligent safety controllers
Leverages several types of embedded and safety I/O modules
Lets you use the DeviceNet" network to distribute safety I/O and
integrate into a standard control system
Ideal for mid-level safety applications that are too complex for
safety relays, yet too simple for full-sized safety PLCs
Supports controller configuration and programming through RSNetWorx"
for DeviceNet software
